Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Foxaru account and everything attached to it. Foxaru is the recipe service at foxaru.com.

How to delete your account

1. Sign in at foxaru.com. The sign-in link arrives by email – there is no password.
2. Open “My account” and then “Profile”.
3. At the very bottom you will find “Delete account”. Type the word LÖSCHEN (German for “delete”) to confirm.

Deletion happens immediately. There is no waiting period, no trash bin and no way back.

What gets deleted

• Account and profile: email address, name, date of birth, profile picture and every sign-in session.
• All ratings, comments and uploaded photos – including the ones already published.
• Every “helpful” vote you cast.
• Favourites and saved build-your-own combinations.
• Your shopping list including every recipe added to it.
• Allergens stored in your account and the consent that goes with them.
• The newsletter subscription for this address, if there is one.
• Enquiries you sent through the contact form.

What is not deleted

The web server log files. They contain IP addresses, are deleted automatically after 14 days at the latest and are not linked to any account.

No longer have access to your inbox?

Without the sign-in link you cannot reach your account. In that case write to hello@foxaru.com from the address the account was created with, and we will delete it by hand.
